African American Heritage Bowl 2023

The Dallas African American Museum and the Dallas-Fort Worth Branch of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History(ASALH) held an African American Heritage Quiz Bowl in February in Honor of Black History Month.

 

Over two dozen students from the Dallas Fort. Worth metroplex participated in the event. The W. Marvin Dulaney Branch of ASALH provided students with a study guide to assists in the knowledge and understanding of historians from the 1800s to the current that contributed to the history of America.

 

The first and second place winners were from Dallas’ historic Booker T. Washington High School under the guidance of Ms. Brandi Barnett.

All the participants should be congratulated for the efforts toward studying their heritage outside of their schooling.
